Frank Ernest, of Friendly Ford, has earned Dealership Compliance Officer Professional (DCOP) certification by successfully completing the Association of Dealership Compliance Officers’ rigorous course of study and exam that tests competence in dealership compliance management practices. The DCOP course addresses the major federal regulations that impact automobile dealerships across all business units and the establishment of a compliance management system (CMS). In addition, candidates must pledge to adhere to ADCO’s Code of Ethics.
“Earning DCOP Certification is an important milestone in [Frank’s] career. It demonstrates proficiency in establishing and monitoring fair and legal policies and procedures, training and risk mitigation throughout the dealership, including vehicle sales transactions” says ADCO President, Linda Robertson.
Achieving certification protects the dealership, consumer and employees and upholds the integrity of the entire industry.”
ADCO was formed to provide guidance, training, resources and a best practices forum for dealership compliance officers. ADCO services include: 1) providing practical and easily implemented processes for establishing a CMS, 2) providing training and resources that address all phases of the corporate compliance officer’s role and responsibilities, and 3) providing a best practices forum for an open peer exchange of concerns and ideas among professionals involved with real-world compliance management systems. ADCO enforces an established Code of Ethics.
