COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS – June 14, 2024 – ADCO announced that Lindsey Sanders will serve as the association's first vice president over education, training and dealership compliance development. According to executive director Linda Robertson, “Lindsey is a respected results-oriented professional with over 18 years of experience in leadership roles within the education sector. She has a proven track record in strategic planning, team management and organizational development, as well as cultivating and maintaining positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders within an organization.”
Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a master's degree in administration and supervision. Her areas of expertise include professional development training, training in educational best practices, developing and leading cross-cultural training, and “training the trainer” in trauma and resiliency. During her years as a teacher and principal, she earned an “A” Accountability Rating, received an Excellence in the Classroom Award from the University of North Texas, was named Teacher of the Year, and was a Texas Principal of the Year nominee.
While serving as principal of an elementary school in Irving, Texas, the Irving ISD implemented the Lego Education Hands-on Learning system, based on learning through play. The district, which consists entirely of Title I schools nearing 80 to 90 percent socioeconomically disadvantaged students, has an incredibly diverse student population with a vast mix of languages, backgrounds and abilities. In a Lego Education article, Sanders commented on the impact that embedding LEGO Education in the curriculum has had on student engagement. “I don't think I've ever seen a more engaged classroom,” she said. And the boost in engagement extends to teachers. “It's had a huge impact on my campus.” Niels Christiansen, CEO and President of Lego Group visited the classroom to observe and recognize Sanders innovative approach to these academic needs.
Sanders appeared in a May 2024 Today Show segment in which one of her educators was featured during Teacher Appreciation Week. She commented on the innovative methods the teacher uses to engage and support students and families.
Regarding her new role at ADCO, Sanders said, "I am thrilled to join ADCO and bring my passion for education and training to this dynamic industry. I look forward to driving innovative solutions and fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance among our dealerships.”
“ADCO continues to expand, both in services and constituency,” added Robertson. “We're pleased to welcome a professional of Lindsey's caliber to help lead the ADCO community and we look forward to her contributions in adult education and compliance training.”
